Clarinet Lessons

Easy peasy! Follow these steps.

1. Sign up for a time on my booking website, alexandradoyle.youcanbook.me

2. Send a payment for the lesson, assuming you don’t plan to pay cash. Venmo is best; my username is @AlexLovesLemons. Please put the student’s name and date of the lesson in the memo.

3. Send me an email telling me about your student so that I know what materials to have ready for you.

4. Get excited to learn more about playing the clarinet!

I charge $35 per half-hour and $70 per hour.

I teach online using Zoom. When you sign up for a lesson, you will receive a Zoom link. Obviously, online lessons work best when you have a stable internet connection. I will be able to provide better instruction if I can see the student’s face and hands, and I also recommend that you set up your Zoom audio for high-fidelity music mode.

No! I use an online booking system for my private students. You sign up for lessons whenever you want to using my booking website, alexandradoyle.youcanbook.me. I usually see my private students on the weekends, but I try to have one or two weekday afternoons available each week, too.

For online students, I accept all standard digital payments: Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, and PayPal. For in-person students, cash is also acceptable, but digital is preferred.

I understand why some teachers offer a free trial lesson, but no, I don’t. Sorry!

Yes! If you’re not comfortable signing your student up to meet a stranger, I totally understand. I teach lessons online via the Outschool tutoring platform, and you can sign up to take lessons there instead. Outschool teachers are background-checked each year, so you can rest easy! Please note that there is an additional fee for Outschool lessons because of the cut that goes to Outschool.
